Cidery Sales and Orders Agent

The BC Tree Fruits Cooperative (BCTFC) is owned by fruit growers throughout the entire Okanagan Valley, employs approximately 500 employees, and operates multiple facilities. Representing over 500 growers, we market fresh tree fruits including, apples, pears, cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums, prunes and grapes.

We have an exciting new position opening in our Cidery as a Cidery Sales and Orders Agent. Our ideal candidate will be organized, upbeat, and enjoy working with people. This role will report directly to the Cidery Manager.

The successful applicant will have the following key accountabilities:
• Be the “face” of the Cidery by providing exceptional customer service and building the BC Tree Fruit Cider brand in order to increase sales
• Order processing including stock allocation, shipment arrangement, invoice tracking and document posting
• Identify and recommend retail sale opportunities
• Maintain an integrated, motivated and positive work environment
• Work with store manager to train other retail staff
• Timely completion of daily reconciliations and administrative responsibilities as required
• Maintain and deepen existing account relationships to build long lasting partnerships and trust in the brand
• Effectively communicated and build strong relationships with store supervisors, internal sales and distribution team
• Receiving and processing orders from clients and business partners
• Responsible for accurate inventory management and control
• Liaising with warehouse and distribution to ensure orders are processed and delivered in an organized and efficient manner
• Keeping constant communication with the Cidery Sales Representatives

The successful applicant will be qualified by possessing the following key attributes:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Serving It Right Certificate
• Two or more years of supervisory experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
• Ability to recognize sales opportunities
• Related training and/or College/University education will be considered an asset
• Demonstrated team player with the ability to work under high pressure situations
• Good understanding of business and accounting/inventory/cost control practices
• Completion of the Wine Ambassador Course or Sommelier/WSET Certificate is an asset
• Must possess a passion of cider/ wine and the industry
• Results-oriented attitude

Crop Harvest Coordinator

The BC Tree Fruits Cooperative is owned by over 500+ fruit growers throughout the entire Okanagan Valley, employs approximately 500 employees, and operates multiple facilities. We require an outstanding individual for the role of Crop Harvest Coordinator. The successful applicant will report to the Field Service Manager and will have the following key accountabilities:

• Liasing between the grower and exporter to ensure quality and export standards are met and all mandatory paperwork is filled out accordingly
• Collecting and maintaining spray and food safe records
• Coordinating and overseeing the cherry export and delivery process
• Maintaining consistent communication with field service and operations to ensure the proper coordination of harvest times
The successful applicant will be qualified by possessing the following key attributes:

Production Line Worker
(North and South Divisions)

The BC Tree Fruits Cooperative is owned by fruit growers throughout the entire Okanagan Valley, employs approximately 500 employees, and operates multiple facilities. Representing over 500 growers, we market fresh tree fruits including, apples, pears, cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums, prunes and grapes.

We are currently seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Production Line Workers. Positions are available for both our Kelowna/Winfield and Oliver/Osoyoos locations.

Production Line Worker Responsibilities?
• Sorting fruit to meet Government and/or Industry Grade Standards
• Filling bags, trays, boxes or totes as well as consumer package and bulk filling
• Operating in a safe and efficient manner by following proper safe work procedures
• Adhering to food safe and safe work procedures at all times
• Performing work at each station of the trayline area(s)
• Operate machinery and controls at the various work stations as trained
• Additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Safety Staff

Production Line Worker Qualifications?
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including repeated lifting of up to 15 pounds
• Have a good work record and above average attendance
• Be comfortable working with and around machinery
• Ability to communicate effectively with all employees and supervisors
• Must be able to work all shifts as required

Bin Asset Manager

The BC Tree Fruits Cooperative (BCTFC) is owned by fruit growers throughout the entire Okanagan Valley, employs approximately 500 employees, and operates multiple facilities. Representing over 500 growers, we market fresh tree fruits including, apples, pears, cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums, prunes and grapes.

We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Bin Asset Manager. This position requires the individual to travel from various locations throughout the Okanagan Valley.
Bin Asset Manager Responsibilities?
• Monitor and count inflow and outflow of bins in all orchards and storage units;
• Investigate and enforce bin usage that is limited to contacted grower lots and food use;
• Track and repair bins up to BCTFC standards and quality, and dispose of permanently damaged bins;
• Bin reconciliation that involves following up with orchards for empty or unreturned bins;
• Annual bin inventory count and policy reviews;
• Field service work when required.

Production Line Supervisor
(North Locations)

The BC Tree Fruits Cooperative (BCTFC) is owned by fruit growers throughout the entire Okanagan Valley, employs approximately 500 employees, and operates multiple facilities. Representing over 500 growers, we market fresh tree fruits including, apples, pears, cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums, prunes and grapes.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Northern Operations Manager and be responsible for the direct supervision and assignment of staff and duties on the floor, food and worker safety, and ensuring effective product movement and quality. This role offers a flexible schedule. The candidate must be able the ability to be available for day, evening and weekend shifts with possible overtime hours.
The successful applicant will have the following key accountabilities:
• Effective supervision and deployment of production staff, including recruitment, training and performance/absenteeism management;
• Meet and exceed production standards in the most cost effective and timely manner while maintaining quality;
• Packing to CFIA and customer specific standards;
• Ensure food and worker safety programs are adhered to and all documentation pertaining to these programs is completed in a timely and accurate manner;
• Effective communication with employees in order to maintain a positive rapport, develop a safe working environment, and increase morale;
• Monitor inventory of packaging supplies.
