Bartlett
The Bartlett pear has a clear, yellow skin when ripe. Flesh is juicy and sweet with a fine-grained, smooth texture. Great for using fresh and, because Bartletts keep their flavour even after heating, they’re a natural for canning. Usually available late-August to November.
