Kiwifruit
Italian Kiwifruit is about the size of an egg with hairy brown skin, which most people peel. It has succulent bright green-sometimes yellowish-flesh with tiny, edible seeds. Its sweet/tart flavour has a hint of strawberry. Native to China, this fruit is sometimes called Chinese gooseberry. Easy to eat fresh by slicing or by cutting in half and scooping out the flesh. Gives a special touch when added to smoothies, fruit cups, and pastries. Usually available from late October to March.
