Apricots
Apricots were first grown in China more than 2,000 years ago. The Okanagan valley in British Columbia provides the ideal climate for growing apricots and produces 100% of Canada’s commercial crop.
Ripe apricots are as golden as Okanagan sunshine, with a delicate blush. Their slightly tangy flavour has a refreshing natural sweetness. Great for eating fresh; or cooked in jams, pies, cobblers. Apricots are usually available in July and August.
