Apple Blueberry Smoothie

Enjoy this refreshing summer beverage after a workout or as a quick breakfast on-the-run. Makes 2 large servings.

1 cup (250 mL) soft-cooked B.C. Brand Spartan apples*, cooled
1 cup (250 mL) French vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup (125 mL) milk, skim or 1%
1/2 cup (125 mL) blueberries
4-5 ice cubes

*Make 1 cup of soft-cooked apples by coring 2 apples. Peel only if desired. Chop and place in microwave for about 3 minutes until soft, almost like applesauce. Allow to cool.

Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Serve in a bright, summery glass with a straw and garnished with a fresh berry or thin apple slice.
