One of these tarts and a cup of tea make a nice afternoon treat. Makes 12 Tarts.
1 package (12) frozen mini-tart shells or homemade crust
2/3 cup (160 ml) mincemeat
1/2 cup (125 ml) finely chopped apple
whipped cream
Prepare mini-tart shells according to package directions for filled tart shells. Combine mincemeat and chopped apple. Spoon into tart shells. Bake in preheated 375° F (190° C) oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm with a dollop of prepared whipped cream, and a sprinkle of either grated orange rind or nutmeg.
