Pumpkin Apple Bread

A dense and heavy loaf. One slice is very satisfying.
Makes 1 large loaf (12 slices).

1 cup (250 ml) pumpkin puree
1 1/4 cups (310 ml) granulated sugar
1/3 cup (80 ml) vegetable oil
1/3 cup (80 ml) water
2 eggs
2 cups (500 ml) all purpose flour
1 tsp (5 ml) baking soda
1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) salt
1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) cinnamon
2 apples, coarsely grated

In a large bowl, combine first five ingredients. Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed. In separate bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add to wet ingredients and blend until moistened. Stir in apples. Pour into loaf pan. Bake at 350° F (180° F) for 75 minutes.
