Cranberry Applesauce

This dessert is rich in vitamin C and fibre.
Makes 5 servings

2 cups (500 ml) cranberries
2 cups (500 ml) apples, quartered
3/4 cup (175 ml) water
1 cup (250 ml) sugar
cinnamon

Combine first 3 ingredients and cook slowly until the fruit is soft. Put them all through a colander and add 1 cup sugar to mixture. Cook and stir the puree in a saucepan until the sugar is dissolved. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Serve.
