This simple dessert makes the perfect light finish to any meal.
Makes 5 servings.
6 to 8 Golden Delicious apples cored, peeled and sliced
1/3 cup (80 ml) sugar
optional, whipping cream
Preheat oven to 350° F (180° C).
Place apples in a casserole and cover with foil. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the apples have puffed up and are soft. Remove from oven and mash apples until you can whisk them smooth. Add sugar. Taste. Add additional sugar if desired. Serve warm with whipped cream, or as a side dish with meats. Makes approximately 3 1/2 cups.
